Parque Alameda is a small mixed-use development that includes a shopping center and a hotel that has been very successful.

Over the years, the surrounding area, which was abandoned for more than four decades, has improved with the inclusion of a large five-star hotel and convention center; office buildings including the new Ministry of Foreign Affairs; a new museum and the renovation of La Alameda park and Avenida Juárez.
